While having tea with one of my colleague at evening time yesterday. He asked me one puzzle related to cake. The puzzle goes this way:

Suppose i have a circular cake.
And to that cake, I have to cut three times anywhere 
with maximum number of pieces without bothering abt the equal segment

So how many maximum number of pieces it will make?

A/c to me, the maximum number of pieces will be 7. But i am not sure.

So please can u all tell me how many maximum number of pieces it will make & how?
